Cakes

Because Allie mentioned my cakes, I figured I would show off a couple more =)
Hopefully this summer I can do another class...

This was my first cake from the class.  It was working on pattern transfers and a few different piping techniques.  I really don't like it, but I know I get picky so here it is anyway =)

This was our final project.  It's pretty.  The next class is a lot more flowers and I want to take it so badly!

This cake I made for the RS dinner.

It's surprisingly easier than it looks.

I hate side shots because you can see that my cakes are never level!  I blame my oven...and my inadequate leveling skills ;o)

This was from Lukas' recent birthday.

the inside was rainbow colored...it made me happy.

And way old school here, this is my first really challenging cake.  I hated every moment of this cake.  But it turned out nice.  The tray thing it's on is fondant covering cardboard, and crushed graham crackers.

These are fairly old too, but they  make me happy =)  These are from Andy's sister Sarah's wedding.

The flowers are fondant and the centers are little candy pearls.

And now that I bragged, we can go back to the Weston and Lukas show =)

  1. Wow- my name is on your blog!! Best day ever! Those cakes are awesome Melissa- I love the RS cake so much. The Lightning McQueen cake is awesome too- I can't believe you even covered the cardboard in fondant- now that's quality work. Love Allie
